We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanics. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Diagnostic Testing: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and pinpoint problems in diesel engines, fuel systems, transmissions, brakes, and other components.
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as engine overhauls, component replacements, brake adjustments, and fluid changes to restore functionality and extend the lifespan of diesel equipment.
- Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair or modify metal components and structures, and ensure proper fit and alignment of parts.
- Parts Replacement: Replace worn or damaged parts such as pistons, bearings, valves, belts, hoses, and filters, and ensure proper installation and calibration.
- Electrical Work: Diagnose and repair electrical systems and components such as wiring harnesses, alternators, starters, batteries, and lighting systems to ensure proper operation.
- Hydraulic Systems: Inspect, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems and components such as pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses, and troubleshoot hydraulic issues as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with diesel engines and equipment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safe work practices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities, including service reports, work orders, and parts inventory, and submit documentation to supervisors or clients as required.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, with expertise in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and equipment.
- Certification in diesel technology or a related field preferred but not required; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of certification.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment such as scan tools, multimeters, and pressure gauges.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel injection, turbocharging, cooling, and exhaust systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively, including wrenches, sockets, impact guns, and diagnostic software.
- Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in awkward positions.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
