We are currently seeking detail-oriented and skilled individuals to work as Furniture Assemblers/Fitters. As a Furniture Assembler/Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and fitting furniture pieces according to specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assembly: Assemble furniture components and parts such as frames, panels, drawers, and hardware using hand tools, power tools, and assembly instructions, ensuring accurate alignment and proper fit.
- Installation: Install and fit furniture pieces such as cabinets, shelves, desks, tables, chairs, and wardrobes in residential, commercial, or retail spaces, following layout plans and design specifications.
- Modification: Modify furniture pieces as needed to accommodate space constraints, structural requirements, or customer preferences, and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished furniture assemblies for defects, imperfections, and alignment issues, and make necessary adjustments or repairs to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements, provide progress updates, and address any concerns or inquiries.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling tools, equipment, and furniture materials, and maintain a clean and safe work environment to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of furniture assembly and installation activities, including work orders, assembly instructions, and customer sign-offs, and submit documentation to supervisors or clients as required.

Requirements
- Prior experience in furniture assembly, carpentry, or a related field preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices for assembly and installation tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in assembly and fitting.
- Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
