We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Welders. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in fabricating and assembling metal components and structures using various welding techniques.

Responsibilities:

  1. Welding: Perform welding operations using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including stick welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, and flux-cored arc welding, to join metal components according to project specifications.
  2. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to understand welding requirements, dimensions, and tolerances.
  3. Material Preparation: Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, cutting, and beveling, and ensure proper fit-up and alignment of workpieces prior to welding.
  4. Weld Inspection: Inspect welded joints and assemblies for defects, imperfections, and deviations from quality standards, and make necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure weld quality and integrity.
  5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling welding equipment, operating in confined spaces, and working at heights, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment to prevent injuries.
  6. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, including performing routine maintenance, repairs, and calibration as needed.
  7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other welders, fabricators, and team members to coordinate work activities, share expertise, and achieve project goals.
  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including welding procedures, material certifications, and inspection reports, and submit documentation to supervisors or clients as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a welder, with expertise in various welding techniques and processes.
  • Certification in welding from a recognized institution or authority preferred but not required; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of certification.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Strong knowledge of metallurgy, welding codes, and quality standards.
  • Ability to use welding equipment and tools effectively, including welders, torches, grinders, and cutting machines.
  • Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in awkward positions.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in welding operations and inspections.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
